Renter's spouse or partner who meets the same age and driver's license requirements as renter are authorized drivers at no extra cost. Any additional authorized drivers must appear at the time of hire and meet the age and license requirements. An additional fee of $15 per day for each additional authorized driver will be added to the rental price, unless other contractual conditions apply.
A spouse or partner is the only permitted additional driver on a rental secured with a debit card. -

This reservation is made with a Contract Identification Number (CID) assigned to a Business Account for the sole use of its eligible tenants. Use of this CID by persons other than qualified tenants is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action. Tenants using this CID may be asked to show proof of employment or authorization (such as a business card, current company domain email, work order, etc.). Questions about acceptable proof of employment or authorization should be directed to your Travel Manager.

Rentals originating in the United States: Most vehicles rented in the United States can be driven throughout the United States and Canada. Some vehicle classes such as Exotics, Large Passenger or Cargo Vans and other specialty vehicles may not be allowed to travel outside the United States. Please contact the rental location directly for details on cross-border restrictions.
Most places do not allow travel to Mexico. If you wish to enter Mexico, you must purchase additional insurance to cover the vehicle while you are in Mexico. Please contact the branch directly to determine restrictions and availability.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not insurance. Purchase of CDW is optional and not required to rent a vehicle.
You can purchase optional CDW for an additional fee. If you purchase CDW, subject to the actions that invalidate the CDW listed on the rental agreement, we agree to contractually release you from all or part of the costs of damage to, loss of, or theft of the vehicle. DW does not apply to damages that occur in Mexico.
When deciding whether or not to purchase CDW, you can contact your insurance representative or credit card company to determine whether, in the event of damage or theft of the vehicle, you have coverage or protection for such damage or theft and the amount of the your deductible or excess risk.
*For tenants originating in California, CDW varies between $10.99 and $500.00 per day depending on the type of rented vehicle.

For retail rentals secured only with extended protection within the rental price (excluding any liability protection or insurance coverage under a commercial contract), the following applies:
Extended Protection (EP) (if available): The Owner provides the Renter or any AAD with third party liability protection in an amount equal to the minimum financial liability limits applicable to the vehicle (the primary protection). EP also provides additional third-party liability protection through an excess liability policy with limits on the difference between the primary coverage and a combined single limit of $1 million per claim. accident for bodily injury and/or property damage to others arising out of the use or operation of the owner's rental car by the renter or an AAD, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. EP includes UM/UIM coverage for bodily injury and property damage (only where required by law for property damage) in an amount equal to the minimum financial liability limits applicable to the vehicle (the primary coverage), and additional coverage through a excess liability policy, with limits on the difference between the statutory underlying minimum limits and $100,000 per accident (for rentals beginning in New York, UM/UIM limits are $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident; for rentals beginning in Hawaii, UM/UIM limits are $1,000,000 combined single limit) or state mandate UM/UIM limit, whichever is greater. As a customer, you have a choice about how you want to pay for fuel.
Option 1 - Prepaid Fuel -- This option allows the renter to pay for a full tank of gas at the time of rental and return the tank empty. The price is based on an estimate of current fuel prices and the average tank size of the car received. No refunds will be issued for unused gas.
Option 2 - We refill. --This option allows the renter to pay Alamo at the end of the lease for gas used but not replaced. The price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices.
Option 3 - You refill. --This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid additional fuel charges.

Customers who live in the United States, US territories or Canada
Customers residing in the United States, US territories or Canada must present a valid, unexpired, government-issued driver's license that includes a photograph of the customer. Digital licenses are not accepted. The driving license must be valid for the entire rental period.
Active duty members of the United States Armed Forces may present an expired home state license under the following conditions:

They are consistent with their military expansion policy of the state that issued the license. These policies vary by state, and customers are encouraged to contact the appropriate Department of Motor Vehicles for more information.
Customers traveling to the US and Canada from other countries
It is important that customers check with the appropriate Department of Motor Vehicles in the states or provinces where they intend to travel to ensure compliance with their various licensing laws. Digital licenses are not accepted. The following practices are used to ensure that the customer presents a valid license at the time of rental.
Customers traveling to the United States and Canada from another country must present the following:
Your home country driving license that is valid, unexpired and includes a photograph, and
If the home country license is in a language other than English (or French, for rentals in Canada) and the lettering is in English (ie German, Spanish, etc.), an international driver's license is recommended, but not required, for translation purposes in addition to the home country license.
If the home country license is in a language other than English and the letters are not English (ie the alphabet is not an extended Latin-based alphabet like German or Spanish, but is Russian, Japanese, Arabic, etc.), an international driver's license is required.
If an international driver's license cannot be obtained in the home country, another professional, typed translation can be substituted. In both cases, the home country license must also be presented.

Temporary licenses may be denied if the rental location is otherwise unable to confirm the customer's identity or verify the authenticity of the temporary license. Additional government-issued identification may be required.

Personal Effects Coverage (PEC) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily fee. If accepted, the PEC contained in the policy insures the hirer's personal effects, additional drivers or any person traveling with the hirer against risks of loss or damage. Benefits are paid in addition to any other insurance coverage that the renter or passengers may have. This is only a summary. PEC is subject to the provisions, limitations and exclusions of the PEC policy underwritten by Empire Fire and Marine Insurance Company of the United States. Purchase of PEC is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by PEC may duplicate the tenant's existing coverage. Alamo is not qualified to assess the adequacy of the tenant's existing coverage; therefore, the renter should investigate their personal insurance policies or other sources of coverage that may duplicate coverage from the PEC.

TENANT REQUIREMENTS AND FORMS OF PAYMENT
TENANT CLAIMS POLICY
All renters and additional drivers must be 21 years of age or older. All renters must have a valid driver's license and a major credit or debit card in their name. People with learner or teaching permits are not eligible to rent. This is only a summary. For further details please refer to the driving license information policy.
ALDER
The minimum surcharge for drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 is $25 per day. Renters between the ages of 21 and 24 can rent the following vehicle classes: Economy through full-size cars, cargo and minivans, pickups, and compact, small, and standard SUVs that seat up to 5 passengers.
DEBIT CARDAt airports, debit cards are only accepted at the time of rental if they are accompanied by a return ticket itinerary. The name and address on the tenant's driver's license must match their current home address. Active military personnel are exempt from address requirements.
Apart from the renter's spouse or common-law partner, no additional drivers are permitted.
If you use a debit card for amounts due, the available funds in the account linked to the tenant's debit card will be reduced by those amounts. In addition, the Tenant is responsible for any overdraft fees.

INSURANCE VERIFICATION
At the time of rental, Renters without a ticketed return itinerary must provide proof of a transferable auto collision, comprehensive and liability policy for the following vehicle classes: Full-Size Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury Sedan, Mid-Size Sport Luxury Sedan, Electric Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury SUV, Extended Luxury SUV, Electric Luxury SUV, Limo Van and Corvette.

The estimated total amount of the rental on the Review and Reservation screen and/or in the email reservation confirmation will be charged via the payment method specified by the renter. If the rental as reserved changes, the estimated total amount of the rental may change and will still be charged according to the form of payment specified by the tenant.
At the time of the rental, the Tenant will sign a rental agreement (the "Agreement") which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the additional terms and conditions.
DEPOSIT AMOUNT
To account for the Renter potentially incurring additional amounts owed under the Contract, Renters without a ticketed return itinerary will be required to pay a deposit of $400 or $850 for the following vehicle classes: Performance Sport, Full Size Luxury SUV, Electric Luxury SUV, Full Size Elite Electric Sedan, Mid Size Sport Luxury Sedan, Full Size Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury Sedan, Electric Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury SUV, Extended Luxury SUV, Limo Van and Corvette.

The tenant must use the above-mentioned form of payment for the deposit amount. The deposit amount will not be available to the renter and/or refunded to the renter until the vehicle has been returned.
If the Tenant incurs additional amounts due under the Contract, these additional amounts may be deducted from the Tenant's deposit, if applicable. If these additional amounts are not deducted from the deposit amount, they will, if applicable, be charged via the form of payment specified by the Lessee at the time of rental, unless the Lessee specifies another form of payment specified above.
If you use a debit card for any of the above amounts, the available funds in the account linked to the tenant's debit card will be reduced by those amounts. In addition, the Tenant is responsible for any overdraft fees.
Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the security deposit, but can be used to pay any amount due at the end of the rental period after the vehicle has been returned. Cash is not accepted.
In addition to one of the above payment methods, credit cards with sufficient available credit listed on the tenant's profile or loyalty account (Emerald Club, E Club, etc.) are accepted as payment for all amounts due under the Contract.
All amounts owed by the Tenant under the Contract will be submitted (a) as an authorization to be a lien against and ultimately charged to the Tenant's credit card or debit card, or (b) to be charged to the Tenant's payment card.

The renter can purchase Roadside Plus (RSP) from the owner for an additional fee. If Renter purchases RSP, Owner, subject to actions voiding the Collision Damage Waiver, agrees to contractually waive Renter's liability for the cost of providing 24/7 roadside assistance (where available), which includes replacement of lost keys (including remote access devices ), flat tire service (if no inflated spare is available, the vehicle will be towed. The cost of a replacement tire is not covered by the RSP), lockout service (if the keys are locked in the vehicle), jump starter and fuel delivery service for up to 3 gallons (or equivalent litres) of fuel if the vehicle has run out of fuel. Roadside Plus services are only available in the United States and Canada. If the Hirer does not purchase the RSP, or the RSP is invalid as set out above, roadside assistance will be available but standard charges will apply. RSP does not apply in Mexico. If accepted, the SLP provides the renter and authorized drivers with up to a $300,000 combined single limit for third-party claims. If the renter accepts the SLP, Alamo provides third party liability coverage up to the applicable minimum financial liability limit and Zurich American Insurance Company provides excess liability insurance coverage from the applicable minimum financial liability limit to $300,000.
